My Mom Rocks!
It really should called Happy "My Mom Rocks" Day. My mom showed me from the very beginning what it meant to be a strong independent woman. She was and is a total Wonder Woman (thankfully - minus the costume). She speaks about a gazillion languages, can travel the world and makes friends with anyone and everyone, and basically does anything she sets her mind to. Well, except for some basic computer functions I have to keep reminding her of. I'm starting to think its all a rouse to get me on the phone more often though. Thanks for being such an amazing mom, completely supportive, and such an inspiration.
Something I could never pull off - looking gorgeous as a war correspondent with perfectly coiffed hair and make-up! In a chopper no less. That's my mom folks!
FOLKS: I have not paid, bribed or promised Sabine to call less often with my computer problems. WOW! I am floored and honored by this heartfelt public display of affection. However, I have to set the record straight:
ReplyDelete1. I do have the costume, fits really tight, but I am not Wonder Woman
2. Gazillion equals 4 well done and 2 medium rare
3. Have ticket, will travel
4. Be my friend, I’m already yours
5. I have no problems setting my mind.... to procrastinate
BUT,
I see the Wonder Woman in my Daughter
And I marvel, knowing that she had her origin in me
I bet the daughter is as funny and artistic as the mother.
ReplyDeleteThey are both funny and artistic and wonderful. I am grateful to know and love them.
ReplyDeleteSabine, you were a wonder woman the first time I met you in my classroom. You are so talented, sensitive, and lovely. And I remember you telling me about your mom and how inspirational she was for you as a young child, and a young woman.
ReplyDeleteBravo, to both of you!!
